40K is not on my radar. 10K is quite adequate for me thank you very much. It would be fun to improve my time next year but, we will have to see how the old body fairs between now and then.

Well,
Across the Ocean in England they ran on April 25,2010 a distance of 40K for Virgin London Marathon.
“The course is a gruelling 26 miles 385 yards

One of the extended family in UK ran 10K in 57 min so Christopher did great but did complete the course of 40K in 4 hours 5 minutes.
She is in her twenties , was the first time, raised for Charity ,an amazing amount for her contribution of £1,145.00.

Christopher , you have a new goal.

Thanks Penny for your lovely comment. You made me smile. The only problem with your suggestion is that I can't stand up very long on a pair of skates! And the really tricky part of biking home was that I had to try to keep up with my wife who has a secret motor hidden on her bike that she turns on at the bottom of every hill, leaving me in the dust. Whenever I am away from St. Philip for a Sunday, I am reminded how much I miss being with you all.

So, you peel through 10K with a time of 44:29, and then BIKE HOME!!! Uphill!! I guess next you're going to suit up for the Canuks in the next playoff round. Well done, you man of steel.

You were missed at church, but you didn't abandon us. You gave us plenty of warning and made us all feel part of the process. We were all cheering for you. Also, Harry, of course, was great taking care of things.

Your absence was noted but we did experience at least 75 souls and about 10 children present.
I did my xn K walk at 6:30AM today but it was limited to walking 'Pinot' , my daughters Border Collie and we together aside from stopping at his comfort station, covered about 4.0k

Even had one of your colleagues visiting today, not sure if he came to hear you but got Harry. Course Harry enjoyed a bit of extra in the Chalice as we poured as normal (120 souls).

It is good that you experienced what it is like especially for young families the tug between limited time with family outdoors, dual working parents, sports on Sunday.
Our challenge these days is to open up our church , to be present perhaps in different locations, to see God's presence whee he meets us.
To make it a habit to be in the local church together as best as possible, to grow for life and years from now.
