80 The child grew and became strong in spirit,
and he was in the wilderness until the day he appeared publicly to Israel.
76 And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High;
for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways,
77 to give knowledge of salvation to his people
by the forgiveness of their sins.
You have to feel for John the Baptist. He burst upon the scene with such promise and excitement.
Yeshua says: From Adam to John the Baptist,
no one born of a woman surpasses John the Baptist
so that John need not lower his eyes.
So what makes it so difficult for us to see clearly? Why couldn’t the “priests and Levites” see that which was right before them?
